I Play Rocky

Mike is a young actor trying to make it in 1970s Hollywood, but he doesn’t look like a movie star, he doesn’t sound like a movie star, and no one is offering him any roles. When he starts working as an usher at a movie theater and dating Sasha, the beautiful cashier, she gives him two pieces of advice: if no one is giving you good roles, write yourself a good one; and while you’re at it, maybe it’s time to drop the stage name Mike and go back to your real name – Sylvester Stallone. The new film from Oscar-winning director Peter Farrelly (Green Book) brings an incredible true story that is Hollywood through and through: the against-all-odds writing and making of the Oscar-winning smash hit Rocky, and Stallone’s transformation from an ordinary guy with a dream into one of the biggest movie stars in the world.
