Yugly

Yugly is a particularly ugly little puppy who has grown used to the fact that no one wants to adopt him. But when he hears about a prestigious dog show where the most beautiful dog is crowned, he decides this could be his chance to change his fate. He sets off for the big city, gathering along the way a motley crew of stray dogs. Together they get into all kinds of trouble and discover that sometimes the very things that make you different are what make you special. Yannis Belaid and Jérémie Degruson’s film was warmly received by audiences and critics at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival. With its witty writing and energetic direction, the film whisks Yugly and his friends from one adventure to the next without missing a beat. Humour, fast-paced action and genuine affection for its characters come together in a story with plenty of heart, resulting in a funny, wild and charming adventure that above all celebrates its wonderfully imperfect heroes.
